About Us

Headz Up Health is a division of Headz Up Pty Ltd that provides specialist psychological assessment and therapy services out of our Therapy Centre located at Suite 3, 7-9 President Avenue, Caringbah, NSW 2229.

Established by Troy Speirs in Arncliffe in 2005, under the banner of Headz Up Ministries Psychological Services, the Therapy Centre has a rich history in providing psychological care to the community in the south of Sydney. With expansion of face-to-face psychological care to include telehealth video and phone consultation services, the reach of Headz Up Health has increasingly extended into regional NSW, interstate and internationally. Many of our clients, when they move out of area, continue to receive services.

Headz Up Health is led by principal psychologist, Troy Speirs, who is both a clinical and educational psychologist with over 20 years of psychological assessment and therapy experience. He has extensive experience working with clients with depression, self-harming behaviours, addictions, anxiety-related conditions, trauma, and complex mental health disorders. He has also worked with couples, supporting them to navigate the challenges of their relationship difficulties.

He provides comprehensive educational assessments to school age students that guide the development of tailored welfare supports and learning opportunities across both school and home environments. He also provides medico-legal assessments for clients engaged with the court system, writing reports to communicate a psychological understanding of the client and any relevant findings from the assessment for consideration by legal professionals.

Troy works together with his wife, Anna Speirs, who is a specialist child psychotherapist. Anna’s therapy approach is complementary to that of Troy’s, her having specialised skills for engagement with children and younger adolescents. She applies child-centred play therapies and age-appropriate cognitive and behavioural interventions in her engagement with her clients.

Together, Troy and Anna offer family focussed assessments and interventions that seek to support families as they work through their presenting concerns.
